The laser produces a highly concentrated light beam. This emitted light is absorbed by the pigment located in the hair follicle. The laser emits fraction of second pulses, long enough to heat the hair and begin with the selective photothermolysis, which is the destruction of the hair through the heating by light. The laser only gets to the root of the hair.
The tip of the gun keeps cooling on contact with its chill tip, which helps reduce the skin surface temperature (2°C) to prevent a burn in the skin generated by the laser at the time of the light shooting; it is essential for the treated area to be previously shaved.
Soprano is the new generation of laser to remove hair painlessly, Alma Lasers' unique IN-Motion technology combines simultaneous cooling with a gradual increase of heat until the therapeutic temperature of the target, without the risk of injury and with much less pain for the patient. This contrasts with the high peaks of energy used in traditional hair removal technology that require refrigeration before, during and after each pulse, and require the handpiece to be held still during energy delivery. The sweep technique IN-Motion technology allows continuous administration in a larger treatment area for comfort and losing less points.
